This spring, I had the pleasure of working on some Pinterest-focused pieces for VisitFlorida – a fun series of graphics with tips and ideas for travelers planning their vacations to Florida. Loved researching and learning about these natural wonders. Breathtaking photos, amazing creatures, what’s not to like?! We really do have some amazing natural gifts all around us.

For those looking for underwater adventures, this article and infographic provide information on one-of-a-kind reefs around the state of Florida:

And for sea cow fans out there, you can learn more about interacting with manatees from this article:

These were also promoted on their Pinterest social campaign:

If you are traveling around Florida, you might even run into these printed at Florida Visitor centers.

Florida’s Baseball Cities trading cards

This project for VisitFlorida.com started out as a series of shareable “baseball” cards, highlighting some “fun facts” and “must do’s” for each of the 18 cities that host spring training and minor league teams in Florida. Inspired by baseball cards and tourism postcards, the thought was that it would be fun for fans and travelers to collect and “trade”/share them on social media.

But while we were researching the material, the concept quickly grew more ambitious. We ended up producing them both for a booklet, complete with sponsorships, that will offer the whole collection at visitors centers; and for individual printing that the cities and parks might choose to distribute. The cards in the booklet will be perforated so fans can pull out a full set of trading cards.

Here are some of the shareable cards for Florida baseball aficionados posted on Pinterest and Flicker. Turned into a nicely rounded campaign. Look for them this spring! Play ball!!
